Brittany Hotem | Northern Maryland Doula Services

Brittany Hotem, Co-owner

ProDoula Pre-CD Labor Doula

GroVia Advocate Cloth Diaper Educator

Brittany never hesitates to go above and beyond for those around her. Helping people is her passion and she believes that families going through pregnancy and postpartum deserve it the most. A natural love for infants, Brittany was set from fourth grade on becoming a neonatal nurse. Through her own postpartum journey she realized how essential continuous support is. The birth of Brittany's nephew confirmed her passion for birth work completely. When he was unexpectedly born with Down syndrome, nonjudgmental support was a huge need for not just the mother, but the entire family. Brittany has brought her passion for supporting women to doula work, especially with breastfeeding, cloth diapering, and special needs families. In addition to doula work, Brittany is active at Carroll County Hospital's Breastfeeding support group and volunteers as an Advocate for GroVia, providing local cloth diaper education.

In her free time, Brittany enjoys camping, being outdoors with family, cooking and watching the show Shark Tank.

Taylor Scott, Co-owner

ProDoula Pre-CD Labor Doula

Taylor’s ambition as a doula is to empower, educate, and support mothers during their birth journey. She views birth as a tremendous and transformative experience, with both challenges and rewards. Based on her own personal journey throughout her pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience, she loves creating positive memories for parents, regardless of certain situations and circumstances. While not just aiding a mother in her environment, birth intentions, and medical care during her birth, Taylor also supports the birth partner as much as she can while continuing to keep that individual involved.  As a doula she provides support to mother, partner, friends, and family members based on her own journey.

“Each birth is unique and your own special story.

I want to be the one to help you write that story.”
